Elder Law Guidance Opens New London Office, Hosts Ribbon Cutting April 20
Award-Winning Firm Expands Elder Law Services to Laurel County and Surrounding Communities
(April 9, 2026 – Richmond, KY) Elder Law Guidance is excited to announce and share its 10th anniversary with the community. The award-winning local law firm invites the public to an open house Friday, April 17th from 4-8pm at 815 W. Main Street in Richmond, with live music, food, drinks, games, and prizes.
The distinguished elder law practice was founded in 2015 by Scott Collins. It has grown to be the third largest law firm of its type in just a decade, and has been named one of the fastest growing firms by Law Firm 500 since 2021.
With three established locations—two in Richmond and one in London—Elder Law Guidance continues to serve Central Kentucky with a growing team of dedicated professionals, including attorneys, paralegals, legal aides, client care specialists, and administrative staff supported by experienced operations and marketing leadership.

Scott E. Collins, founder and owner of Elder Law Guidance, is a VA-accredited attorney and U.S. Army veteran with a proven track record in elder law. A native of Middlesboro, Kentucky, he earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2014 before launching the firm in 2015.
Collins has earned consistent recognition in his field, including six consecutive years as a Super Lawyers Kentucky Rising Star, the Law Firm 500 Fastest-Growing Firm designation since 2021, and charter membership in Lawyers of Distinction. He serves on the Madison County Board for Elder Maltreatment Prevention and the Kentucky Bar Association’s Elder Law Division, and also leads local preservation efforts as President of the Madison County Architectural Preservation Trust. Additionally, Scott serves on the Ethics Commission for the City of Richmond.
