Award-Winning Firm Expands Elder Law Services to Laurel County and Surrounding Communities

(April 2, 2026 – Richmond, KY)  Elder Law Guidance will celebrate the grand opening of its new London, Kentucky, office with a public ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, April 20, at 11 a.m. The event will take place at 1370 S. Laurel Road, Suite 1, presented by the London-Laurel County Chamber of Commerce. The public is welcome to attend; food, prizes and refreshments will be provided.

With two established office locations already serving clients in Central Kentucky, Elder Law Guidance has grown its Richmond-based team with additional attorneys, legal aides and paralegal, client care specialists, legal receptionists, and support from our director of operations, office manager and marketing professionals. This expansion supports the new London office as the firm celebrates its 10-year anniversary while meeting growing demand across Central and Southeastern Kentucky.

This expansion brings comprehensive elder law services closer to residents of Laurel County and surrounding Southeastern Kentucky communities, including Corbin, Whitley City, Somerset, and beyond. The firm offers expert guidance in Medicaid and Medicare planning, veterans’ benefits, estate planning, probate, special needs planning, and guardianship/conservatorship.

Scott E. Collins, founder and owner of Elder Law Guidance, is a VA-accredited attorney and U.S. Army veteran with a proven track record in elder law. A native of Middlesboro, Kentucky, he earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2014 before launching the firm in 2015. Collins has received consistent recognition, including Super Lawyers’ Kentucky Rising Stars honors for six years, Law Firm 500 fastest-growing firm designation since 2021, and charter membership in Lawyers of Distinction. He serves on key boards including the Madison County Board for Elder Maltreatment Prevention and the Kentucky Bar Association’s Elder Law Division, while also contributing to historic preservation efforts as the President of Madison County Architectural Preservation Trust.

“Our expanded Richmond team and new London office make it easier for families in Laurel and nearby counties to access the elder law support they need right in their backyard,” said Collins. “We’re excited to build on our decade of service with more resources to protect what Kentuckians have worked for their entire lives.”
