Maribeth Scott is a client care specialist at Elder Law Guidance. She was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio and is a graduate of Hamilton High School. Maribeth graduated from University of the Cumberlands with a Bachelor of Science degree in humanities, social and behavioral sciences. She is looking toward getting her master’s degree in a similar field in the future.
Maribeth moved to Kentucky in 2006 with her husband, Terry and their two children. She now calls Richmond home. In 2017, they started a charity called Kicks4Kids where they provided new shoes for kids in need. They hope to get it up and running again and expand it to include help for people re-entering the workforce by providing occupational footwear, uniforms, and other needs that arise when starting a new job until getting that first paycheck.
Maribeth has experience with Medicare and Medicaid through working as a financial counselor in hospitals and call centers prior to joining Elder Law Guidance. This experience has helped her grow in compassion for the many clients she served and gave her a desire to do more. Elder Law gave her the perfect opportunity to do that. She has also served in various aspects of ministry from worship leading to women’s ministry.
Now in her spare time, Maribeth loves her empty nest with her husband, being a “GiGi” to her two beautiful granddaughters, and taking her three dogs to the various dog parks in Richmond. They also enjoy the “Tasty Tuesday” events at Irvine McDowell Park during the warmer weather months.
